School Consultation
& Wellness

As a licensed clinical psychologist and certified school psychologist, I have a unique perspective on the intersection of mental health and learning. Having worked in several schools - as an extern, intern, psychologist, and consultant - I have extensive experience bringing mental health into the school and working with faculty, administrators, school staff, and students to ensure that their school experience is a safe, satisfying, and balanced experience that provides both academic success and wellness.

Faculty and Staff Wellness

Being a teacher or an employee at school is increasingly difficult and administrators are frequently looking for ways to support their staff so that they can best support the children that they serve. I have experience creating and providing talks, workshops, and support to faculty and school staff. These conversations, lectures, and workshops have encompassed a variety of mental health and wellness topics, including self-care, being an educator during a pandemic, tolerating uncertainty, managing their own thoughts and emotions, assertive communication, and more. I also have gone into schools and been available throughout the day for one-on-one support for faculty and staff.

Social and Emotional Learning and Consultation

Because schools are one of the places that children and adolescents spend a significant amount of time, they are an ideal place for kids and teens to learn important social and emotional skills. As a school psychologist, I have experience creating and implementing social and emotional lessons into the school day. I have also created and run workshops for teachers and other educators who are looking to incorporate social and emotional learning into their school.

Parent Talks and Workshops

Parents in a school system often share similar concerns and challenges with their children and look to their school to provide them with resources, assistance, and education on how to handle their concerns for their children.

As a clinical and school psychologist, I have vast experience presenting and speaking to parents on specific topics and areas of concern. I have presented on topics including typical social and emotional development and concerns that arise, behavioral management, friendship and social concerns, managing big emotions at home, talking to children about scary and upsetting events, and more.
